An AMBER Alert was also issued for a missing seven year boy, Julian King, who is believed to be Hudson’s nephew.
Police say that they are searching for a William Balfour as a suspect in the double homicide.
According to TMZ.com, Balfour listed Hudson’s mother’s address as a place of residence within the last year.
Balfour is currently on parole after serving jail time for attempted murder, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections website.
Hudson won an Academy Award for her role in “Dream Girls.”
